3. Hyowon Park Yeowonwon
Yueyue Garden, a traditional Chinese garden, is located in Hyowon Park in Inyeon-dong, Suwon. It was built by Chinese laborers based on the traditional architecture of the Guangdong region. The reason for the sudden appearance of a Chinese-style garden in the center of Suwon is due to a friendship exchange agreement signed between Gyeonggi-do and Guangdong Province in 2003. Thanks to this, Suwon residents can now walk through Hyowon Park and enjoy a small but beautiful garden, Yueyue Garden, for free.
It is a small garden, but it has a lake and Chinese-style architecture that is different from Korea. The trees surrounding the garden also change colors in the fall, and many people visit to enjoy the fall foliage. Suwon is a short distance from Seoul, and there are many attractions and festivals in the area, such as Hwaseong Haenggung Palace, so it’s a great place for fall foliage!

4. Hwadam Forest
The peak of fall foliage is usually predicted to be in late October and early November, but there is a place where there is a war for tickets as early as September. This is Hwadam Forest in Konjiam. You can reserve tickets for Hwadam Forest on their website, but weekend reservations are booked up a month in advance of the peak fall foliage season. On weekdays, it’s relatively easy to book tickets.
The monorail that runs through the fall foliage and the 50,000 square meters of spacious, well-kept gardens are the main reasons for its popularity. It’s a great place for visitors of all ages to enjoy the scenery, stroll around, and eat at the shops and cafes in the garden. This is why many people say it’s a must-visit course near Seoul in the fall.
