Throughout his tortured life, he painted for only a decade. Still, Van Gogh found his own way to heal himself, immersing himself in his artwork while trying to maintain his own resilience. Perhaps it’s because his life was as short and intense as his rich colours that upon his death, he became one of the most famous painters in the world, and a favourite of Koreans.
There is an exhibition that’s perfect for fans of his life history and his paintings. If you’re a fan of Van Gogh, here are four reasons why you should go to Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience.
1. Surround yourself with 360 degrees of Van Gogh’s art
Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience features a huge space of about 300 square meters filled with nothing but Van Gogh’s work. To achieve Van Gogh’s signature colours and brush textures, the team used more than 60 projectors, which captures 200 of the most important works from his life.
2. The exhibition explores the influence of Asian prints in Van Gogh’s work
Unlike other Van Gogh exhibitions, Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience places Asian art in the context of his worldview. It explains how unconventional Eastern art was, and how influential it was to the Impressionists of the time, including Van Gogh.
The exhibition features delightful selection of oriental prints from Van Gogh’s paintings. It provides visitors with an opportunity to get closer to the world of his work.

Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience has organized a special program with Candlelight Concerts, the world’s most successful classical concert series.
