1. Shinsegae Department Store Myeongdong
Shinsegae Department Store Myeongdong is a legend in the world of department store Christmas lights. In 2024, the media facade will be decorated with the theme of ‘In Search of Christmas Moments’. This year, it will open at 5 p.m. on November 1, and the four-minute video will feature a mysterious Christmas village, castle, amusement park, and tree. More information can be found here.
2. COEX Starfield Library
In the center of the Starfield COEX Mall Starfield Library is a large tree in winter. Last year, Christmas decorations were installed in late November, and the golden-lit tree and bookshelves wrapped around the facade like a gift car drew many visitors.
3. Hyundai Department Store Trade Center
This year, Hyundai Department Store’s Christmas concept is “LE GRAND THEATER,” a moving theater. A merry-go-round is placed in front of Hyundai Department Store Trade Center with a red ribbon illustration to add to the atmosphere.
4. The Hyundai Seoul Christmas Market
The Hyundai Seoul is considered a holy place for Christmas on social media thanks to its tree and market. This year, the 5th floor of The Hyundai, which boasts a size of 1,000 pyeong, utilizes ‘kinetic art’ (moving sculptures) to bring a circus town from a European fairy tale to life.
There are many Christmas spots that have yet to be revealed. We can’t wait to see the trees and lights that will be lit up in Seoul and across the country.
