Spring is just around the corner.
It’s the season when the warmer breeze makes your heart flutter for no reason.
“What are some things you can only do in Seoul?”
Instead of the usual cafes and restaurants,
if you’re looking for unique, atmospheric experiences that are only possible in Seoul, take a closer look.
Secret Media Network’s local editors have personally selected small but special experiences—micro experiences—that can be enjoyed in each city. Not only in Seoul, but Secret Media editors in cities around the world have also carefully selected their own micro experiences.
The experiences on this list were selected without any specific ranking.
Reading a Book in the Spring Breeze

The Seoul Outdoor Library will reopen soon.
Leaning back in a comfortable chair while enjoying the spring breeze
and read a book.
Bring a book and come out
without saying a word—
Why not enjoy that kind of leisurely moment?
Traveling Back in Time to Rediscover Old Charm

Seoul boasts over 600 years of history as the nation’s capital.
That is why there are many places in every nook and cranny where the passage of time still lingers.
Although many areas have been redeveloped, visiting places where decades of history remain intact is a unique pleasure that can only be enjoyed in Seoul.
My personal recommendations are Daeo Bookstore and Hwanghak-dong Manmul Market.
Read more about this here.
But beyond this, Seoul is full of places where you can feel the charm of bygone eras, as if traveling back in time.
We’ll be introducing more of these in Secret Seoul, so don’t forget to subscribe to our newsletter!
Running While Drawing with GPS

For a while, running crews and marathons were all the rage, and Seoulites were fully immersed in running.
There’s a special kind of running you can only do in Seoul.
It’s GPS Art Running—drawing pictures with GPS while running through the city center!
The courses are also diverse, ranging from the Dog Run around Gyeongbokgung Palace, the Sweet Potato Run in Yeouido, to the Fish-Shaped Bread Run at Children’s Grand Park.
You can discover new parts of Seoul while running, and enjoy those moments of satisfaction when you check your GPS track after finishing your run.

In dramas, it’s common to see people sitting at a street food cart having a glass of soju,
but actually finding such a place in Seoul isn’t easy.
The riverside food stalls, once known as the “Street of Food Stalls,” have sadly faded into history as of 2024.
I love the atmosphere of sitting at a street food cart like this, quietly munching on chicken gizzards while sipping a glass of soju.
This is a sentiment unique to Korean cities that you won’t find in any other city in the world. That’s why I hope as many people as possible visit these street food stalls and that this culture is preserved for a long time to come.
Even when drinking the same drink, conversations seem to flow more honestly at a street food stall.
That’s why I recommend the food truck alley in Jongno 3-ga.
Now that the weather is warming up, here’s a romantic date experience you can only enjoy in Seoul.
