The WTA, the women’s professional tennis tournament, returns to Korea this year. Last year’s WTA Korea Open proved the tennis craze with a sold-out crowd at the final. This year, star players such as the 2025 Wimbledon champion Iga Sibiong-tech will be competing.
Co-hosted by the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) and the Korea Tennis Association (KTA), the WTA Korea Open is the only official WTA Tour event in Korea, with more than 600 players and officials from 30 countries participating in the tournament. The tournament was upgraded from the WTA 250 to the WTA 500 last year, which significantly increased the prize money and ranking points, attracting more star players to the Korea Open.
Top-notch players are also the key to a full house. The 2025 Wimbledon Women’s Singles Champion, Iga Sibiontek, will be returning to Korea for the first time. With her Wimbledon victory, she reached the milestone of 100 career Grand Slam wins. Sibiontek, as well as Amanda Anisimova, who reached the Wimbledon final for the first time, have announced their participation in the WTA Coria Open 2025.

The WTA Coria Open 2025 will also feature a variety of on-site events and food options for spectators. In addition, this year, the tournament will be held at night to allow more tennis fans to experience the world’s top players in action. The tournament will take place over nine days from September 13-21 at the tennis courts of Seoul Olympic Park, with all matches broadcast live on tvN SPORTS. The preliminary rounds will be held on September 13 and 14, and the main event will begin on September 15.
The WTA Coria Open Tennis Championships 2025 is a great opportunity for tennis fans and anyone who loves sports to experience world-class competition in Seoul. A variety of tickets are available, including general admission and VIP tickets starting at KRW 10,000, and can be booked now on fever.
