In July, marking the start of summer, Ujangsan—a lush green forest in the heart of the city—transforms into a massive festival venue.
Gangseo-gu, Seoul, will host the “2026 Ujangsan Green Light Festa,” a summer festival, on Saturday, July 4, starting at 5:00 p.m. in the area around Ujangsan Soccer Field. Set against the backdrop of refreshing nature, this festival runs non-stop from day to night—here’s a look at the key highlights.
- Main Program “Water Station”: An interactive water gun game with an exciting theme—“Defeat the Color Monster that Stole the Colors of Ujangsan”—will be held in collaboration with a children’s theater troupe. Bring your own water gun for double the fun.
- Kids’ Experience Zone: Safe water play booths—including water gun target practice and water balloon tossing—will be set up, along with shaded areas and parasol-covered rest areas for families to relax, making it the perfect place to visit with your kids.
- Green Stage: Kicking off with a pre-show performance by the Gangseo District Theater Company, the stage will feature a variety of street performances including magic, singing, and dancing. As the festival’s highlight, a laser show featuring DJ Defolwill light up the night sky.
