1. Pulitzer Prize Photography Exhibition

2. Special exhibition for the reopening of the Hwangi Museum of Art
Since its opening in 1992, the Hwan Ki Museum of Art has been home to the artistic soul of Korean art master Kim Hwan Ki. The museum reopened in December after a 10-month renovation period. The reopening special exhibition, “Eternal Things: Things that existed for themselves and not for anyone else’ offers a glimpse into the artist’s artistic journey throughout his life, from his first works to his highly abstract works made of dots, lines, and cotton. The exhibition is on view through March 5.

3. Gujeong-ah: Odorama City
The representative artist for the 30th anniversary of the Korean Pavilion at the 2024 Venice Biennale was Koo Jung-ah. ‘Koo Jung-ah: Odorama City’ will return to Korea at the Hyehwa Arco Museum. Koo, who enjoys using smell and sight as a synaesthetic medium, has created more than 600 scent memories and 17 scents in her exhibition.

4. Vienna 1900, Dreaming Artists
Vienna 1900, Dreaming Artists – From Gustav Klimt to Egon Schiele, opened late last year and is proving to be very popular. The exhibition showcases the collection of the Austrian Leopold Museum and features works by some of Vienna’s most iconic painters, including Gustav Klimt and Egon Schiele. Tickets are sold by the hour and often sell out, so it’s best to book in advance.

5. The Immortal Painter Van Gogh
The exhibition ‘Van Gogh, the Immortal Painter’, where you can see authentic Van Gogh paintings, is also in full swing. It is composed of the collections of the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam and the Kröller-Müller Museum in Otaru, which are known as the two largest repositories of Van Gogh’s works, and you can see works such as The Good Samaritan.

6. Le Space
If you’re looking for a weekend drive, consider Yeongjongdo Island. Le Space, Korea’s largest immersive media art space at Inspire Resort, is hosting a space travel-themed exhibition, Journey to the Unknown.

7. Candlelight Concert
After Christmas, winter is still a season that reminds us of love. Music like love letters somehow warms the heart even more. To celebrate Valentine’s Day, why not go to a Candlelight concert with romantic music? Check out Candlelight concerts in Seoul here.
8. Willow House
February 12th is the day of the Lunar New Year, the day to eat five-grain rice. Willow House in Seocho-dong is famous for its short ribs and jumuluck, but its secret menu is ogokbap. The restaurant has been listed in the Michelin Guide Bib Gourmand for five consecutive years.

9. Snow Sledding Center
If you’re happy to see the days get longer, but sad to see the end of winter approaching, head to a snow sledding hill for one last dose of winter cheer. Ttukseom Hangang Park and Jamwon Hangang Park are open until Sunday, February 16, and you can check the operating schedule for other locations here.
