Whether it’s a co-worker, club member, or college classmate, sometimes you just need a breath of fresh air. In the past, it was called recreation, and in modern work culture, it’s called team building. We’ve gathered some of our favourite team building activities in Seoul, for a collection of places that offer socialising activities that will help bring you closer together in a low-pressure environment.
1. Coin Tennis Pub
It’s the heyday of the competitive socialising movement: even pubs have workouts. As you can probably guess, Coin Tennis Pub combines tennis and pubs. Play a game of screen tennis using a real tennis racket and ball, as you try to hit the targets or opponents on the screen. Coin Tennis Pub’s screen tennis has a game mode and a practice mode, so bring your team or friends over for a game of beer and bites!
🕒 Open Monday to Saturday, 12pm to 2am (closed on Sundays)
📍 B1, 143-16 1 Gangnam-gu, Seoul
2. Gold Label Magic Bar
There’s nothing more relaxing and guaranteed fun than going to a great show with a group. Head to Gold Label Magic Bar, run by nationally-known professional magician Lim Hong-jin, for a magic show every business day.
At 9pm, the show takes place on the main stage. You can enjoy an hour-long performance with the audience while sipping drinks. If one show isn’t enough for you, or you’ve sampled a few cocktails, stay late for the midnight show, where the magician r0ves around the bar tables with a line-up of close-up magic tricks.
🕒 Open Tuesday – Saturday from 7pm-2am (closed Sundays & Mondays)
📍 6, Dosan-daero 12-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul
3. Paint Rabbit
Instead of an elegant smock or apron, the studio comes equipped with a full-body gown suit, goggles, and shoe covers, like something out of a forensics lab. This is Paint Rabbit Action Painting, a chance to unleash your inner artist to the beats of loud music.
Work with your teammates on a single canvas, spraying and splattering paint together to complete the piece. Before you know it, your canvas is filled with all sorts of colours. You can also play by shooting paint from a water gun at your opponent, which is plenty of fun. We’d definitely recommend Paint Rabbit when you need something casual and entertaining to get acquainted.
