Solo Hell Season 5 has finally come to an end.
Solo Hell, which has shaken my heart these past few weeks.
Thinking I won’t see the honest and energetic Choi Mina anymore makes me feel unexpectedly sad.
But even after the final choice, one lingering question remained.
Namely—
Where exactly was that mala hotpot place Seong-su mentioned that Subin talked about?
“The place where lamb ribs come out in the mala soup.”

This very scene.
During dinner, Seung-il and Min-ji upset Hee-seon,
and Subin, unaware of the situation, casually mentioned a popular restaurant in Seongsu.

“I didn’t used to like mala tang that much, but this place is seriously delicious.” Where could that place be?
Watching myself get hooked on a dating show and obsessively search for the restaurant, I thought, “That’s so me.”
📍 Top contender: Yongyong Teacher’s Maradogwon (Seongsu)

Although the restaurant’s name wasn’t revealed on Netflix,
the most likely location based on the context is ‘Yongyong Teacher Marado Won’ in Seongsu.
This is Mr. Yongyong’s flagship store, known for its consistently high popularity, often requiring a wait.
Its signature dish is particularly…
🔥 Charcoal-Grilled Lamb Ribs Mala Soup

Unlike typical mala soups,
the lamb ribs are grilled over direct flame to impart a smoky flavor before being added directly to the mala soup.
This dish is Subin’s explanation —
“Grill the lamb ribs yourself and put them right in there (the mala soup).”
— is spot on.
The smoky aroma of the meat, grilled right there on the spot, combines with the numbing mala broth to create a much deeper and richer flavor.
I’m planning to take the plunge and try it myself.
