Seoul garnered attention as one of the world’s most attractive cities by making the top 10 list of “World’s Best Cities” selected by the British global magazine Time Out.
Time Out compiled the results of a survey of over 24,000 people and evaluations from more than 100 experts across 150 cities worldwide. As a result, Seoul achieved a remarkable feat by jumping 33 spots from 42nd place last year to finish in 9th place.
Seoul was praised for its urban environment, which offers unique and diverse experiences, and its vibrant lifestyle. In particular, the distinctive café culture spreading among young people, K-pop, and various cultural activities such as exhibitions and performances were cited as key attractions of Seoul.
Meanwhile, Melbourne, Australia, took first place in this ranking, followed by Shanghai, China, in second place, and Edinburgh, Scotland, in third place.
