When I open my eyes in the morning and see the world transformed into a snowy landscape by the overnight snowfall, I still feel excited like a child.
Today was another such day.
Before work, I even took my dog for an early morning walk, eager to be the first to leave footprints in the untouched snow.
Reluctant to see the snow melt so quickly, I pondered where to go after work to enjoy the snowy views and compiled this list.
Cafes with great snowy views, perfect for visiting on a snowy day.
1. One Person, One Cup
A cafe with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Eunpyeong-gu Hanok Village.
With six floors, you can admire the snow gently piled atop the hanok roofs on days like today.
A special view only possible on days like today. You’ll also be able to see the peaks of Bukhansan Mountain wearing their white conical hats.
📍534 Yeonseo-ro, Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul (Naver Map)
2. Cafe Rosemary
A large, four-story cafe you’ll find when heading out of downtown Seoul toward Cheonggyesan Mountain.
You arrive right after passing Yangjae IC, yet upon arrival, it feels like you’ve traveled to a distant place.
The panoramic view of Daewang Reservoir and the forest beyond the windows offers a respite from the city.
Especially on snowy days, you’ll encounter a landscape completely different from the usual.

3. Nixsen Cafe
Located near Bulamsan Mountain, this large cafe near Seoul features a rooftop on the 4th floor.
It serves not only coffee but also brunch and bakery items, making it a great spot for a meal.
After work, spending your evening here gazing at the snow gently covering Boolamsan Mountain is utterly romantic.

4. Cafe Tung
A popular spot in Jongno known for its views overlooking Changdeokgung Palace.
Located on the high floors of the 7th and 8th levels, it offers a panoramic view of the Jongno skyline.
On snowy days, it captures the snow piled on the rafters of Changdeokgung Palace and even the Namsan Tower beyond.
A romantic space where you can gaze upon Seoul transformed in white.
📍82 Yulgok-ro, Jongno-gu, Seoul (Naver Map)
5. Cafe Anachia
A large five-story cafe located in Uijeongbu.
Compared to other cafes, its floor-to-ceiling windows are particularly large and open up refreshingly on both sides.
It’s a place where you can sit in the warm interior and feel as if you’re right in the middle of a snowstorm.
📍22 Jandol-gil, Uijeongbu-si, Gyeonggi-do (Naver Map)
6. Cafe Tertre
Located in Changsin-dong, Seoul, this cafe offers a panoramic view of the entire city.
The only downside is that you have to climb a fairly steep hill to reach the destination.
If the uphill climb on a snowy day seems daunting, I wouldn’t recommend it, but if you’re willing to put in the effort, the reward is definitely worth it.
From Dongdaemun to Naksan Park and Namsan Tower—Seoul’s iconic landmarks all fit within one frame.
