It’s time for a shopping trip to find new products on sale, whilst grabbing a bite at restaurants and cafes, and all whilst keeping the kids entertained – sounds difficult, right? We’re here to help! You’ll surely know about mega shopping centres like COEX Mall (it’s even got an aquarium!), but we’ve found five other outlet malls in Seoul and around the city that will help you get all your shopping done in one go.
1. Shinsegae Premium Outlets
Shinsegae Premium Outlets are found all over South Korea, in Shiheung, Yeoju, Paju, Busan, and Jeju, with Shiheung and Paju being the closest branches to Seoul. From famous brands like Coach, Michael Kors, DKNY, and Armani Store, to French clothing brands like Maje and Sandro, to Korean clothing brands like Time, Misha, and System, you’ll find it all here. The outlets also stock miscellaneous goods from the likes of Shukomaboni, Kuron, and Crocs, and there are also kitchen product stores like Villeroy & Boch, Odense, and Tefal, so you can shop for more than just clothing.
The discounts here mean you can save anywhere from 25% up to 65% off the original price, and there are often additional discounts for special occasions such as holidays and special events. They also partner with card companies to offer gift certificates for purchases over a certain amount, so we recommend checking out their website for more.
The malls feature exotic buildings that make it seem as if you’re in a foreign country, with beautiful landscaping and plenty of amenities such as seating areas, children’s playgrounds, coin lockers, and repair shops, making it a great place to spend the day. Some of the premium outlet malls in particular have their own Christmas markets during the holiday season, where you can see giant trees and all sorts of lighted decorations that will make you feel like you’re in a fairytale.
🕒 Open daily from 10:30am (Paju is open until 9pm Friday – Sunday, and until 8:30pm all other days – Shiheung is open until 9pm every day)

2. Hyundai Premium Outlets
Hyundai has premium outlets near Seoul in Gimpo, Songdo, and Dasan, and city department stores in Dongdaemun, Gasan, and Garden5. Their premium outlets have a lot to offer, not only outlet stores, but also a variety of food and entertainment options in a large area, almost like a village, while city outlets are a little smaller than premium outlets, but found closer to the city centre and more easily accessible. Rewards for regular customers are available; you earn miles when you pay with your Hyundai Department Store card, and you can redeem Hyundai Department Store gift certificates for each mile earned.
Hyundai premium outlets carry a wide range of luxury brands, including Burberry, Gucci, Ferragamo, Balenciaga, Tod’s, Mulberry, and Jimmy Choo, while city outlets are home to a variety of sports and apparel brands, making them ideal for everyday wear and commuting. The homepage (follow Locations > Outlets) details additional discounts and other information for each location, so be sure to check it out before you visit.

One of their closest outlet malls to Seoul is Time Villas in Uiwang, Gyeonggi-do, which has a large playground for kids, making it a great weekend outing for the whole family.
With a variety of eateries, cafes, and many discount stores, the mall is like a village, making it a great place to take a break when you’re weary from shopping – and with discounts of up to 70% on brands, you can usually get a great deal. Regular visitors can get extra benefits: Lotte Card or L.POINT members earn mileage based on the amount of purchases and receive benefits such as free parking, valet parking, and lounge access by selecting MVG or VIP status on a yearly basis.

4. Mario Outlet
Mario Outlet, located in Geumcheon-gu, Seoul, is the original urban outlet mall, dating back to 2001, when outlets were not as common as they are today. It’s a large complex (in fact, it’s the largest urban outlet mall in Asia) composed of buildings 1 through 3, and it’s very convenient to get to from Gasan Digital Complex Station or on public transportation. Whilst there are luxury boutiques in Building 3, Mario Outlets has a great selection of mid-priced brands for more everyday shopping trips, especially since it is divided into three sections: one specialising in homeware, the other in leisure, and the third in lifestyle, so you can effectively shop according to your purpose.
All three buildings are connected, so you can visit all of them without leaving the building, and Building 3 is a great place to bring the kids, as it features stores like Daiso and Modern House, as well as a kids’ café and Toyplus. When you sign up for a Mario membership, you’ll earn points for each purchase you make, which can be redeemed for gift cards with points to spend.
🕒 Open daily from 10:30am – 9pm (open until 9:30pm on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays)
📍 185, Digital-ro, Geumcheon-gu, Seoul
5. Newcore Outlet
Newcore Outlets are department store-style outlet malls operated by Eland, and most of them are located in urban centres (for instance, Seoul’s can be found in Gangnam), so they have the advantage of being easily accessible. They carry a wide range of affordable brands, and many of the stores have cultural centres, so you can enjoy a variety of hobbies here. There’s also a Kim’s Club in the basement of most stores, which is a great perk for outlet shopping and grocery shopping! Like many shopping malls, by signing up for an Eland Club membership, you can earn points for each purchase you make at all Newcore Outlet locations, which can be redeemed for gift certificates.
