It’s a good season to go for a drive along the Han River and Bukhan River. If you search for Namyangju cafes or Yangpyeong cafes, don’t go for the obvious large cafes that pop up everywhere and charge ridiculous prices for a cup of coffee. Here are 5 cafes along the Bukhan River and hidden terrace cafes that are worth the money.
1. Chez Roll
From Hongdae to Munhori-ro in Yangpyeong, and then deeper into Satsang-ro. As you move deeper into the mountains, you’ll continue to come back to Chez Roll because of its flavor and experience. Chez Roll is a cafe that specializes in roll cakes. It was even introduced on the Wednesday Gourmet Show, which boasts its own credibility. The flavor of the rolls, which are soft and savory without being overpowering, is also reflected in the neat furniture and space organization. In spring, the tables are spread out in the yard, making it a great place to enjoy a grassy dip, with the resident cats napping in the sun. The beans are low-key, and they also bake their own sweets. On weekends, they also serve brick oven bread.

2. Sorghum Cafe
Yangsuri Riverside, where the North and South Han Rivers meet, is a favorite course for drivers in the Seoul suburbs. On the other side of Dumulmu, which is famous for its lotus hot dog, there is a spacious Susu Cafe. The price of a drink seems to come with a view of the Han River, but it’s still a romantic scene no matter what time of day you go, whether it’s at sunrise or sunset. Grab a cup of coffee and take a stroll down the path.

3. Terra Rosa Seojong Branch
One of the earliest coffee roasters in Korea, Terrarosa is now available nationwide. Their branches outside of Seoul, such as Gangneung and Jeju, often have terraces, and the Seojong branch in Yangpyeong also has one. Sitting on the terrace among the red brick buildings is a cozy place to spend time.

4. Bread Egato
There are many cafes in this area, but it is rare to find a place that can compete only with flavor. Byeolnaek Cafe Street’s Bread Egato is run by a French chef with decades of experience. There are breads, cakes, baked goods, and pastries, and they recently started serving brunch. The crisp baguette sandwiches, fluffy ciabatta sandwiches, and cakes with all kinds of textures, shapes, and flavors are satisfying without missing anything. There is also a terrace overlooking the stream in front. It was also featured on Wednesday Gourmet.
