1. Evit
Evit is located near Gangnam and Yeoksam stations, meccas for office workers. It has been awarded one Michelin star for five years since 2020 and is the space of Australian chef Joseph Lizard, who also appeared in ‘Black and White Chef‘. The food is a reinterpretation of Korean ingredients and comes with wine and traditional liquor pairings. Chef Joseph Lizoud’s creative and unconventional dishes are inspired by his own culinary experiences.

2. Restaurant Allen
Located between Yeoksam and Seolleung stations, Allen is the name of the chef at Restaurant Allen. After majoring in hotel management and becoming fascinated with creating food in the kitchen, he gained culinary experience at Michelin-starred restaurants in Las Vegas, San Francisco, and New York. Restaurant Allen, his second restaurant in Korea, uses seasonal ingredients to create a French menu that changes every three months to reflect the four seasons of Korea. The restaurant is known for its sensual plating, which satisfies the eyes as well as the palate. The restaurant is praised for its excellent wine pairings and was awarded one Michelin star in 2023 and two stars in 2024.

3. Itanic Garden
This restaurant is going from strength to strength with the addition of La Mansière head chef Jongwon Son, who also appeared in season 2 of “Fridge, Please. The name of the restaurant is a botanical garden, but the Chinese word for food is 食. The name refers to the deep study of food and food culture and the experimentation with global recipes to create harmony. Instead of a menu, you’ll find a book with illustrations of the main ingredients and a new kind of Korean food with a modern twist on tradition. Located on the 36th floor of a building near Yeoksam Station, the views of the city are spectacular.

4. Muoki
Muoki, located near Gangnam-gu Office Station, was opened by owner Chef Moohyun Park, who began his career at The Test Kitchen in Cape Town, South Africa. Chef Park helped The Test Kitchen earn a spot on The World’s 50 Best Restaurants list for several years. He returned to Korea to open his own restaurant, Muoki, named after his oak-like character, which means oak in South African, where he serves food that incorporates his own style. Since 2019, the restaurant has been awarded one Michelin star for six years.

5. Novel Hannam
Novel Hannam is a novel-like food made with the chef’s imagination, and it means “SO SEOUL” in the present day. The restaurant is a reflection of Chef Eom’s desire for people to be proud of Korean food today. The chef’s dishes include familiar favorites such as sashimi, jjukkumi, jjimjim, and moochim. You can also experience traditional liquor pairings at this restaurant in Hannam-dong. It has been awarded 1 Michelin star since 2022.

6. Zero Complex
Located near Hoehyeon Station, Zero Complex attracts attention with its pure white restaurant interior and green trees visible through the large windows. The herbs and vegetables used here are grown and cultivated in the greenhouse in front of the restaurant building. His dishes focus on the natural flavors of the ingredients and are paired with natural wines. The restaurant has been awarded one star every year since 2016, when the Michelin Guide first published its Seoul edition.

7. La Mansière
Located on the 26th floor of the Escape Hotel, La Mangsicre means secret lover. Chef Jongwon Son, who has worked at some of San Francisco’s most famous restaurants, offers Korean-inspired cuisine.
