Founded in Argentina in 2003 , Puerta Bourta has been breaking down the boundaries between reality and fantasy by utilizing the freedom of space to push the limits of stage performance. The company’s new performance, ” Aben,” which stimulates all the senses in ways you’ve never felt before, iscoming to Seoul on March 18 for the first time.
Previously, Puerta Burta has successfully performed at the Edinburgh Festival in Scotland, Lollapalooza in Brazil, Broadway, Las Vegas, and more.
The 14 actors in Puerta Bura’s “Aben” give an overwhelming performance against the backdrop of a massive set. Water and wind add dynamic energy to the already dramatic scenes. Large-scale sculptures new to the show, including a globe, whale, and butterfly, add to the surreal atmosphere, creating a dreamlike experience. Intense music and percussive sounds fill the space.
Puerta Bourta ‘Aben’, which will be held at FB Theater in Seongsu Cultural Arts Center until June, consists of a 70-minute performance and a 30-minute DJ after-show. Puerta bourta has become a genre of its own without being defined as a single genre.
