⚔️ Where 600 Years of History Meets Modern Musicals
The Han River Park in front of Oksoo Subway Station will be transformed into a spectacular outdoor musical theater.
Seongdong-gu, Seoul, will host the “2026 Dumopo Musical Festival,” the district’s flagship summer festival, starting at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 4, in the area around Oksu Interchange Han River Park.
Now in its 7th year, this festival reinterprets the story of “Dumopo” (the area around the Han River in present-day Oksu-dong)—a historic site where troops were dispatched to conquer Tsushima Island in the first year of King Sejong’s reign during the Joseon Dynasty—as a modern musical. This year, the festival has returned as aneven more comfortable and trendy leisure-oriented event, incorporating feedback from local residents.
