BTS opens a pop-up store for their 5th album merchandise to celebrate the release of their new album ‘Arirang’!
Particularly, this merchandise line is drawing public anticipation by incorporating traditional Korean aesthetics.
Even if you’re not an official ARMY, the stylish accessories combining modern practicality with traditional beauty are eye-catching.
According to HYBE’s official merchandise ‘HYBE MERCH’, this collection draws significant inspiration from the Seongdeokdaewang Bell. It features a diverse range of clothing and objects, starting with hair clips and bags inspired by the bell’s decorations, along with keychains, hoodies, fans, and lamps utilizing the shape of the BTS album logo.
Particularly noteworthy are certain products that embody traditional Korean aesthetics, which were reportedly produced in collaboration with the National Museum of Korea.
The official pop-up stores will open simultaneously at three locations in Seoul at 1 PM on March 20. Official Arirang 5th album merchandise and National Museum of Korea collaboration goods can be purchased on the 1st floor of the HYBE Yongsan building. A pop-up store will also open at the Shinsegae Department Store main branchin Jung-gu. Entry to both pop-up stores is limited to those with advance reservations. Details regarding advance reservations will be announced later. It seems the key to these pop-up stores will be who can make advance reservations the fastest.

Meanwhile, the Seongdeokdaewang Bell located in Gyeongju is designated as National Treasure No. 29 and is known as one of the largest and most ornate bells in Korea. It is also called the ‘Emille Bell’ due to a legend that its melancholic chime, resembling a baby’s cry, is named ‘Emille’. With merchandise inspired by this national treasure unveiled even before the album release, attention is focused on how this concept will connect with the new album ‘Arirang’.
