1. The Immortal Van Gogh
With the proliferation of media art exhibitions, it seems like there is an exhibition of the popular painter Van Gogh somewhere throughout the year. However, it’s not always possible to see the artist’s works in person. After 12 years, the exhibition ‘Van Gogh, the Immortal Painter’ will be held at the Arts Center of Korea. It’s organized by the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam and the collection of the Kröller-Müller Museum in Otterloo, known as the two great repositories of Van Gogh’s work, and includes works such as The Good Samaritan.

2. Naruto The Gallery
The official Naruto exhibition ‘Naruto The Gallery’, which has already been a huge success in Fukuoka, Japan and Singapore, is now open in Hongdae. The exhibition features a vivid ninja world and limited-edition merchandise for Naruto’s 20th anniversary. Tickets can be booked here.

3. Yuko Higuchi Special Exhibition

4. 100 Years of Disney Special Exhibition

5. Futura Seoul
If you’re an art lover, you’ve probably already been to Futura Seoul, which opened in September in Gahoe-dong, Bukchon. It is a space that discovers and reinterprets genres, media, and concepts that are difficult to characterize. The opening exhibition, “Echoes of the Earth: A Living Archive” by media artist Repik Anadol, is on view until December 8th.

6. Seoul Museum of Art
The Seoul Museum of Art (SeMA) is always free except for special exhibitions. In addition to introducing Korean and international masters such as painter Edward Hopper last year and architect Norman Foster this year, the museum also features ambitious works by young artists. There are exhibitions at various locations throughout Seoul, from the Seomun Main Building, a converted former Supreme Court building, to the North and South Seoul halls, and the Nam June Paik Memorial Hall.
