With the cold winds blowing, why not share a drink with your loved ones in a warm space and share the warmth?
Here are six sensational dining bars in Seoul that are perfect for sharing with your loved one, with the perfect atmosphere.
1. Ida Seoul
Tucked away at the end of Seosunra-gil, this tranquil space delicately pairs wines and traditional liquors with contemporary Korean cuisine. There’s an experimental flair to each dish, but nothing is wasted, and everything is executed to perfection.
The unique atmosphere of Seosunra-gil makes it a great place for an after-dinner drink or cup of tea, and it’s one of my favorite restaurants in Seoul.

2. on6.5
A dining bar with a new take on kimchi as a basic ingredient. The traditional fermented food that we encounter on our tables every day is reinterpreted into modern and luxurious dishes that pique our curiosity from the first impression.
The signature dishes, such as fried kimchi made with the Mont Blanc technique and cabbage ssam with a different twist, will make you realize that kimchi is not what you’re used to. It is also known as a place where many stars such as BTS, Song Hye Kyo, and GD have visited.

5. Livna
This restaurant was born out of the chef’s fond memories of inviting friends over to his home to eat when he was cooking in Italy. Thanks to that background, a familiar and warm atmosphere naturally permeates the entire space.
The menu, called “jamakase” after the chef, reflects the chef’s taste and flair, with about eight courses to enjoy. Note that ordering a bottle is a must.

6. East
Chef Cho Young-dong’s one-star Michelin-starred Y’east is a fine-dining restaurant with a contemporary take on Asian cuisine. It’s a natural testament to the notion that true variations are only possible with a deep understanding of the basics.
From kaya toast-inspired amuse bouche, to a twist on Japanese steamed egg chawanmushi, to egg noodles with Chinese peanut sauce ‘zma jiang’, and of course, the unmissable braised short ribs. With so many different Asian cuisines, it’s hard to know where the chef’s culinary spectrum ends.
With a wide selection of wine and sake pairings, it’s the perfect choice to celebrate a special occasion.
