after the EDM festival craze, there are a lot of new festival IPs being created every year in a variety of genres that wouldn’t be out of place in Korea or abroad. these days, festivals are becoming increasingly diverse in terms of genres, musicians and artists, and venues, ranging from international and domestic lineups to indoor and outdoor venues or amusement parks.
we’ve rounded up the festivals you won’t want to miss in 2024.
1. HAVE A NICE TRIP 2024 (Have a Nice Trip 2024)
hAVE A NICE TRIP, a concept that makes you feel like you’re on vacation with a group of musicians at a sunset destination. after a successful start to 2023, HAVE A NICE TRIP 2024 will be held on July 27 and 28 at KINTEX in Ilsan. 2. youth Festival
the Youth Festival, the first story festival in space, is another one you won’t want to miss this year. the Youth Festival suggests ways for young people to enjoy the spring in their hearts and the spring in their lives. enjoy heartwarming stories from mentors and performances from artists under the blue spring sky.

3. Don’t Let Daddy Know 2024
Don’t Let Daddy Know, a new festival in its second year of domestic debut from the home of EDM, the Netherlands. it wouldn’t be a festival without us. an essential course when discussing the festival genre. hIPHOPPLAYA FESTIVAL (HIPHOPPLAYE) is a hip-hop festival that has continued its reputation with a colorful lineup of Korean musicians. it gives each artist a longer period of time to create a more unique and colorful stage configuration. if you love hip-hop, this is one festival you shouldn’t miss. also, special guests who aren’t in the lineup are always fun to see.

8. 2024 World DJ Festival
World DJ Festival, a festival recommended for EDM newcomers as well as ravers who have fallen in love with the genre . world DJ Festival, also known as WoldiFest, is one of the stalwarts of the Korean EDM scene and festival industry. it was the first festival in Korea to be named one of the Top 100 festivals by DJ MAG.

9. seoul Park Music Festival 2024 (Seoul Park Music Festival)
seoul Park Music Festival, a picnic music festival held in the city center, is another festival you won’t want to miss this year. you can enjoy beer and snacks in the warm sunshine while listening to live music from musicians, just like you would in a park. this year’s Seoul Park Music Festival 2024 will feature headliners ZANNABI, 10CM, Silica Gel, and more. it will take place June 29-30 at Olympic Park.

10. wanderlust Korea 2024

11. S2O Korea Songkran Music Festival 2024
s2O Korea Songkran Music Festival 2024 (hereinafter, S2O Korea), a water festival that only happens once a year, during the hottest summer months. S2O Korea is a water festival derived from Songkran, a ten-day water festival that takes place across Thailand and features electronic DJs. the festival uses a whopping 1 million liters of water, with spectacular special effects.

12. DMZ PEACE TRAIN MUSIC FESTIVAL (DMZ Peace Train Festival)
a music festival will be held at the DMZ, a symbol of peace, to speak of peace through music and dance. the DMZ PEACE TRAIN MUSIC FESTIVAL, a collaboration between Cheorwon County and the Gangwon Provincial Government, will be held on June 15 and 16 in Goseokjeong, Cheorwon.

13. youthland
for young people who want to get to know themselves better, the taste exploration festival ‘Youth Land’ is held. it is the first indoor festival in Korea that combines a fair and a festival, allowing young people to meet their favorite brands and artists in one place.
the festival offers a wide range of activities not found at traditional genre music festivals, as well as beauty and lifestyle brands and snacks to help you find your own taste. youthland will take place December 21-22 at KINTEX.

14. THE AIR HOUSE (The Air House)
it’s an underground music festival that blends in with nature, but it’s two days and three nights. it’s a mix of familiar and new words. this is the story of THE AIR HOUSE, which will be held on Nami Island from May 24th to 26th.
the Air House, an eco-friendly music festival, is non-stop music from the moment the festival starts, with musicians and artists taking the stage. in addition, Play & Meditation Zone offers a new experience of yoga and aerobics in nature.
