Candlelight, a classical concert series that has drawn more than 2.8 million attendees through over 11,000 performances in more than 90 cities worldwide. By selecting iconic venues in each city, it offers audiences a truly special experience.
We’d like to introduce Jeongdong 1928 Art Center, one of the iconic venues chosen for the Candlelight Concerts.

Located in Jung-gu, Seoul, the Jeongdong 1928 Art Center is a renovated version of the Salvation Army Central Hall, a building with a history of over 90 years. Designated as Seoul Monument No. 20, it holds great historical significance for us. It is currently used as a multi-purpose cultural space where visitors can enjoy a variety of cultural activities, including performances, exhibitions, and lectures.
Located along a stretch of Deoksugung Stone Wall Road, it offers a charming atmosphere and is surrounded by plenty of attractions, such as Seoul Plaza and Gwanghwamun. It is also easily accessible, being a 5- to 10-minute walk from Exit 6 of Gwanghwamun Station on Subway Line 5 or Exits 1 or 12 of City Hall Station on Subway Lines 1 and 2…
At Jeongdong 1928 Art Center, you can enjoy Candlelight’s signature productions. The lineup includes programs that reinterpret the music of film score maestro Hans Zimmer in the Candlelight style, as well as works by Joe Hisaishi.
Thousands of candles illuminate the entire Jeongdong 1928 Art Center. Add to that the music performed with all their heart by the musicians. If you’re looking for a unique way to spend your evening, head to the candlelight concert held at the Jeongdong 1928 Art Center.
